His head hurt. It was pounding. Where was he? Who…?
A white ceiling greeted his eyes as he managed to crack them open. Everything felt so heavy. His gaze shifted the the sheets that covered him, white as well, and then the rest of the room. Nothing looked familiar to him. He sat up slowly, feeling the pounding in his head increase as he rose. He brought a hand up to his head, feeling the twisted and curled hair beneath his fingertips. Strange… dreadlocks? Well if that was his thing, whatever it was. He scanned the room looking for anything that would give him clues as to who he was and nothing seemed to help. It was nothing but an empty looking room with a book or two around. A knock at the door drew his attention.
The blonde slowly opened the door, peeking his head in. A small smile appeared as he walked in, quietly closing the door. “So you’re finally awake.. For a little while I thought you were gonna sleep all day.” He walked to the side of the bed and sat down, looking over to the other. “How’s your head, Xal?”
Xal? Was that his name? Must have been… But who is this kid? Was he supposed to know him? Nothing about this place seemed to ring any bells to him. He didn’t even remember his own name a few seconds ago. A spike of pain pounded through his head causing him to grasp the side of it with a wince. “It hurts…. Who are you?” he asked staring at the guy that sat at the edge of the bed. It was a bit blunt, but at least he would get some answers.
